What to know about this route
The official tourism program offers up to 180 days for people employed outside Belize. Published annual income minimums are USD 75,000 for an individual and USD 100,000 for couples/families. Requirements include a passport, notarized bank reference and statement, criminal record no older than six months, and travel insurance with at least USD 50,000 coverage. Program participants receive a work-permit waiver and their children a student-permit waiver. Obtain approval before travel and pay the fee on arrival. Confirm whether your nationality and residence qualify directly with Immigration before making travel commitments.
